Reading the Work

Turning port congestion signals into clearer daily action

HarborLink served operators who needed to coordinate container movement across terminal capacity, truck appointments, customs holds, equipment availability, and customer commitments. During disruption, teams had visibility into pieces of the operation, but not a shared view of which handoffs were most likely to fail.

Wolfcrest & Co. designed a planning workspace that translated operational signals into prioritized exceptions. Dispatchers and terminal planners could see where dwell time was rising, which appointments were at risk, and which customers needed proactive communication.

The result gave HarborLink a more focused product story around day-of-operations coordination. Teams could make faster decisions during congestion and preserve accountability across many handoffs.

After Launch

Leave the Team Able to Run It

  • Decision language the client team could reuse after launch.
  • Workflow instrumentation that made improvement visible.
  • A practical handoff model for the people closest to the work.
